Jorge Aldana, Belize Lion's Club
"Jules, it's organization like Lions that keeps us bounded together Japan has been one of the largest Lions organization and through the Lions organization we have manage to form brotherhood in these countries like Japan and other countries throughout the world. One of the things that we need to realize is that, we are doing this to help some of our brethren that are in need of help. Lions international do not only give to large countries, we just got a grant for the recent hurricane Richard, if I could recall. Lions international gave Belize some donation, some of those money came from people in Japan how donate, contribute to relief efforts when countries goes through disasters and so, what we are doing, we are appealing to our Belizean. It's our time to give back to these people, a shilling, 25 cents, fifty cents, and ten cents, anything that you may have. When we put it together and collectively, we can all put our funds together, we can reach a nice amount that we can give back to Lions international to assist these people in the reconstruction, in the long term reconstruction effort. We have a bank account number were individuals can make there donation. The Atlantic Bank account number is 100030618. All you need to put along with the donation is 'Japan relief effort'."
