Man fights Off Armed Attacker
posted (April 6, 2011)
On Saturday night after three people had been killed already for that day - word went out that one more was down in the Yabra Area. Luckily the report was wrong; shots were fired, but no one was hurt.

Everal Grey, who resides on Faber's Road, reported to the police that he was in his yard when Englebert Reynolds pointed a pistol at him from about 2 feet away. Grey said he grabbed the gun and a struggle ensued between them. He said during the struggle several stray shots were discharged. Grey - who according to our records has been shot twice before - said he escaped by running into his house. Yesterday Reynolds went to the police station and surrendered himself.

So today, Twenty seven year old Englebert Reynolds, an unemployed of Fabers Road became an inmate of Belize Central Prison today after he was charged with aggravated assault in the Magistrate's Court. Reynolds pleaded not guilty. Chief Magistrate Margaret Mckenzie explained to him that the court cannot offer him bail because the offence was committed with a firearm. She remanded him into custody until June 15.
