Belize's male under 17 basketball team lost a close one to Mexico in the COCABA tournament in Costa Rica this evening.
In overtime, Mexico beat Belize by a hair, 59 to 57. And while a disappointment, it's not a major setback; Belize still qualifies for the semifinal round.
That's because our team wiped out Nicaragua by 30 in the opener and last night, they dominated El Salvador to win by 11.
According to reports from the Belize Basketball Federation, Brian White and Devin Daly played well on the offense.
