Update On 11 Year Old Bus Accident Victim
posted (July 19, 2011)
There are grave concerns for the arm of 11 year old Judith Cantarero - which was badly injured in the bus accident on the northern highway yesterday. Her arm is broken in three places and she is in a lot of pain and she may have to amputate it - but that last resort procedure has not been performed yet. The girl was on the left side of the bus when it toppled over, and reports are that he arm may have been caught outside the window.

Her injury was the most serious but a total of 24 persons were sent to the Orange Walk Hospital. Before dawn yesterday morning, the Cabrera's bus was heading from Corozal to Orange Walk when it experienced a blowout of one of its inner tyres. The bus driver lost control and the bus turned over on the side of the road between miles 64 and 65.

And while there were a number of serious injuries in that accident - no injuries have confirmed in a spectacular accident that happened in Belize City on Saturday evening.

A Toyota Celica did a complete flip on St, Thomas Street - as he tried to avoid hitting a black Kia Sorrento. The driver of the Celica only received a graze to his head. Police have not released any report on the accident..
