Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer
"Police respond to a shooting incident on West Canal. The victims were already transported to the KHMH but our investigation led us to the detention of one Tevin Abraham and one of his associates who we believe may be able to enlighten us with information in this investigation. What we have gathered is that two minors were riding on separate bicycles on West Canal and upon reaching somewhere in the vicinity of #80 West Canal they heard several gunshots and these minors receive several injuries to their bodies. We are hoping that we will have an arrest soon in this incident."

Monica Bodden
"Do you think that this incident may have been gang related?"

Fitzroy Yearwood, Police Press Officer
"The setting itself is leading us to believe that it is something to do with gang rivalry on the south side Belize City."

Police have detained 20 year old Tevin Abraham of Plues Street and 25year old Andy Parham of prince Street - in connection with Sunday mornings shooting.
