They didn't break into the house, but they did allegedly try, and, for that, today, two men were sent to jail.
26 year old Shawn Edwards and 26 year old Leon Yorke, charged with attempted burglary and damage to property were found guilty today in the #4 Magistrate's Court.
Because they had no previous conviction for dishonesty, Magistrate Kathleen Lewis sentenced them to 12 months for attempted burglary and five months for damage to property - with the sentences to run concurrently.
On February 9th., 2010 Yorke and Edwards attempted to break into the residence of Michael Belisle at the corner of Lawrence and Jones Avenues.
In the process, they damaged the burglar bars on the door.
Both men gave statements form the dock in which they denied committing the offences..
