Scary Home Invasion In Mullins River Nets Thieves 43K In Stolen Items

There a number of home invasions and cases of aggravated assault to report. The first report is from Friday on Banak Street, where a man was brutalized by thugs. Bartender Anthony Sutherland Jr says a man approached him and asked to use his phone to make a call. He refused and shortly after that man returned with three others and a handgun asking about the call. They burst his lip with the gun barrel, threw Sutherland to the ground, hit him on the top of his head. Polcie arrived and the four men rode off.

Police are also reporting a home invasion at an unspecified address in Belize City where a 19-year old Salvadorean male says he was taking care of a house on Saturday night when he was awakened by a noise. He went outside with his machete - where a man with a gun took away the machete. He was subdued outside by one man, while another unidentified male and a female walked into the house, stole assorted electrical items then got into a vehicle and left.

And Police are just reporting a far scarier home invasion that happened last week in Mullins River. On Wednesday 26th October, 2011, Canadian couple Gordon and Trina Damon, were inside their house when three masked men, one armed with a firearm entered their residence, tied them up and cleaned them out, stealing four computers, video games, a flatscreen TV, Four cameras, a wedding ring, a Lincoln Town car, and many other items. The total value of everything stolen: a whopping $43,190.00 dollars.

The next day, Police did recover the abandoned Lincoln town car and some other items on a feeder road off the Coastal Highway. And moving now to Belmopan, there was an armed robbery of a Chinese Store there on Friday night. Around 6:30 fo Sheng Li and his wife Qiong Zhen Li were in front of Guang Dong Restaurant on Constitution Drive selling Boledo where they were held up at gunpoint by three men, one armed with a sawed-off shotgun. They stole their computer and his personal firearm, a nine millimeter pistol. During the process the man with the shotgun fired five shots - and a spray of pellets hit Fo Sheng LI on his feet. The men then ran off in the direction of the hospital but a police patrol spotted the trio and apprehended two of them at the end of Constitution Drive. They are Santurino Coc and Kenroy Timmons both of Roaring Creek.

Timmons was found in possession of the stolen 9mm pistol and the laptop. His left leg was injured during his apprehension and he is now admitted to ward at the Western Regional Hospital. Police are looking for the third suspect.
