A Tornado Of Entertainment At Puntafest
posted (November 9, 2011)
Maybe you've never done the Tornado dance, but if you live in Belize, you've certainly heard the song - and this weekend at the third annual Punta Fest, performing artist Loverboy is sure to perform an extended mix of the deathless crowd pleaser.

He arrived in Belize this morning for Saturday's show along with veteran Aziatic. They told us what to expect:..

Lovaboy - Artist, Performing at Puntafest
"This is one of the most exciting shows I ever performed. I performed at different places; I am still on tour as we speak, but one of the things that excite me about it is the level of promotion, likewise the line-up. You have some very great artists who can deliver on the stage, artists who have done their part in taking Belizean music to a whole different plateau, whole different level. And the line-up is one of the greatest things; the vibes that I am feeling, even on the plane, I just can't wait for Saturday. It's a blessing. It's all about Punta Fest, MCC, Saturday. You all come out."

Aziatic - Artist, Performing at Puntafest
"We're expecting to do something very good for the people. The plan, again, is to celebrate the culture; you know. 19th is pretty much around the corner, and the whole Punta Fest is going to be something to start it all up for whole celebration time."

Jules Vasquez
"Explain what it's like having a hit song of such magnitude as you have."

Lovaboy
"It's you all, the people, who made the song such a huge song. And by the way, the song is playing in India; people are doing the tornado in India, and that's because of you all. You all said it first; Belize said it first."

Aziatic
"The concert thing is always almost more exciting because when you're thinking concert, you're thinking big stage, lighting, and just a huge crowd out there. And it's much more exciting; it's much more energy involved, so I'm excited right now. I haven't really been this excited in a very long time."

Lovaboy
"It's an honor and a pleasure to be on the stage rocking the show with legendary people - Aziatic, Supa G - and also too for the youngsters who are coming up - Consego, Taprick, Ms. Ernestine - I used 'youngsters' very loosely, but it's a unity thing. It's a very special thing. I can't really answer that question, but we will see what is happening. When we touchdown on the stage, it's time to work; it's time to operate."

Today, both artists went to visit a city school and the KHMH Pediatric Ward.

The show is set for Saturday at 9:00 at the MCC Grounds.
