Jamaican Lover's Rock For KREM's B-Day Bash
posted (November 10, 2011)
Last night we told you about the Punta Fest scheduled for Saturday night. Well, there's another competing concert on that night - it's Krem's Anniversary party.

And here to bring it in is Jamaican artist Chris Martin who touched down for the first time in Belize this afternoon. The reggae artist who is known for hit songs like Paper loving and Cheaters Prayer, will be performing on Saturday and today we asked him what kind of show Belizeans can expect.

Chris Martin, Jamaican artist
"It's a good show, all the songs that they know from Chris Martin; the old and the new ones - everything. I am just looking to have a good time here, everywhere I go for the first time I try to give it 150% because you have to make a lasting impression."

Monica Bodden
"Now tell us a little bit about your music?"

Chris Martin, Jamaican artist
"My music is lover's rock; reggae-soul-r&b all infuse in one. Majority of my songs are about girls, the love for girls. Females are my core fan base, so it's all about love and relationships right now. That's my music, just stylish lovers music."

"I love to say that if I wasn't singing I'd be playing football. I think I would be a very good football player but other than that I am a very family oriented person. I love to be around my family and giving jokes and staying around with my friends. I don't want to get in a lot of trouble and a lot of mix-up so chill with my family as much as I can because this career has me on the road a lot so every chance I get I try to spend it with my family right now."

"They need to come and see the show. It's my first time in Belize and you wouldn't want your friend to tell you about it so come out and see for yourself. Chris Martin's first time in Belize. Thanks for all the love."

The concert is on Saturday night at the Tropicana Lounge.
