posted (December 20, 2011)
CELLULAR phone calls should be wireless - but our next story is about a man who used a wire to get some credits!

Fifty year old Eric Barrow, a construction worker of 18 Raccoon Street who allegedly stole 25 Smart phone cards from a Chinese shop by pulling them out with a wire, was charged with burglary when he appeared yesterday in the Magistrate's Court.

Barrow pleaded not guilty to the charge. Senior Magistrate Sharon Fraser offered him a bail of seven thousand dollars and adjourned his case until February 14. Barrow was unable to meet bail so he was remanded to prison. The incident occurred around 9:45a.m. on November 10 but Barrow was not apprehended by the police until Friday, December 16.

Twenty year old Andy Chen, the owner of Honey Shop, located at the corner of Raccoon Street and Curassow Street, reported to the police that he heard a noise and when he looked through a window he saw his neighbor, Barrow, pilling the phone cards out of his shop with a wire. He said Barrow ran when Barrow saw him. Chen said the phone cards amounted to one hundred and twenty five dollars in value.
