Home Invasions In A Toledo Village
posted (December 21, 2011)
Our next two stories show that bad news comes in pairs: first to a disturbing pair of home invasions in the south.

At 11:45 On Monday night, Marcos Choc, a farmer of San Marcos Village in the Toledo District, was asleep at home with his family when he was awakened by a knock on his front door and the sound of a man calling his name. The voice said it was the Police who were there to conduct a search for Drugs and firearms.

Choc opened the door, and saw eight dark complexion male persons wearing camouflage uniforms and masks and one fair complexion male person without a mask.

One of the men was armed with a .38 revolver which he pointed at Choc. The crew then searched his house and took an undisclosed amount of cash. Choc was then gagged, taken on the side of the road and beaten before the men fled the scene.

But, it appears, they didn't go far - in fact they went next door - to the home of Martin Choc - who is Marcos's son.

Martin reported that at a minute to midnight, he was awakened by the barking of his dogs.

He went to open the door and saw two men wearing camouflage standing in front of his house.

One of them quickly stepped inside and said they are Police and would search for firearms and drugs, whilst the other had a small hand gun.

Martin believed them and dutifully went and got his licensed 16-gauge shotgun and five cartridges and showed it to them.

The two men held the gun then searched his house and took a cell phone. The took Choc outside where he saw six other men dressed the same way. The assailants then left with the gun and the cell phone.
