posted (December 30, 2011)
What's your New Year's resolution going to be? Even if we don't tell it to the world, most of us probably have something in mind that we want to change in 2012.

When she took that question to the streets today, Monica Bodden found that some folks were thinking of national and not just personal priorities:..

"My resolution for 2012, I want all the people in Belize to stop selling their land and we need the government to let foreign investors to come in and get more jobs for the people, so we can stop the killing. We need more jobs, we need more programs for the young people and we need free education. We need free computers and sports is one of the biggest in the world, I want them to fix up the Marion Jones Stadium."

"You care to tell us, what is your New Year's resolution?"

Cordelia Henkis, Vendor
"Happy New Year's Belize, My New Year's resolution for this year is to be a very independent woman, which I already am but for Belize, we need a little bit more friendlier people in Belize and especially when you travel people are friendlier to you, so we want to do the same in Belize."

"The resolution would have to be guided and directed according to what is happening right now, things are hard so everything would have to be adjusted according to that."

Interviewee 4
"My New Years is, first let me say Happy New Year to everyone, Happy New Year Belize and the world. My New Year resolution will simply be to let everyone see more Christ like character, more love, which is something hard to find right now in this world, but let Belize be different. Let 2012 be different, they say the world will end, so let us feel and know that the entire Belize will be saved. Let us put more church into it, put more God into our mouth, talk more positivity into action."

Cordelia Henkis, Vendor
"Happy New Year Belize, from your number 1 fruit vendor Cordelia Henkis enjoy."
