He is being investigated din connection to events reported by a 16 year old student of Corozal Town who said that on the afternoon of 29th December, she was with Cruz - who she describes as a friend - inside his van drinking alcohol. She says she passed out and was taken to the beach front, behind Dreams in Corozal Town, where they spent the night together but could not recall what happened thereafter. A Medical Examination was conducted where a doctor certified that she was carnally known.

Cruz has not been charged we understand because the file is being reviewed by the DPP's office. The issue is that there are discrepancies in the teenager's story - and the DPP's office directed that she be interviewed without her parents around.
