Mennonite Robbed On City's Mean Streets
posted (January 20, 2012)
Armed robbers made off with almost $1500 cash after robbing both a delivery truck and a tortilla shop in Belize City. The incident occurred around 10:30 this morning on La Croix Boulevard in Lake Independence when three gunmen held up a delivery truck driven by Mennonite Bernardo Bladz.

They stole $1000 from the 36-year old driver along with $225 from 17-year old sideman Peter Peters. But that wasn't enough for the greedy gunmen who also targeted a nearby tortilla shop owned by Salvadoran woman, Morna Saravia, stealing $250. Police have detained two suspects who were found in the area.
