A man was shot in Belize City last night.
38-year old Luisito Manuel Urbina was shot in the abdomen last night on Amara Avenue.
The Hispanic construction worker was walking down Amara at 9:45 p.m. last
night when two men came out of a nearby alley and approached him, firing
one shot into his abdomen. Urbina survived and was rushed to the KHMH where he
is being treated for the injury. He told us he could not speak today
because he was in too much pain.
And Belmopan police are reporting a disturbing case of Aggravated Assault
of a sexual nature. A Guatemalan domestic worker and her ten year old
daughter went to the police department to report that the child's
step-father violated her. According to the minor, on Monday she was with
her younger brother and sister when her step-father went over to where she
was lying down and aggressively fondled her. The police are now looking for
the step-father.
