Hilda "Gobbler" Kelly, a 34 year-old mother of 7 residing on Fabers Road, is in prison tonight, remanded for the the attempted murder of 53 year-old Shirley Leslie, a resident of Saint Thomas Street.
Kelly is also charged with dangerous harm and use of deadly means of harm.
According to police, Shirley Leslie reported that she was socializing at Kelly's Fabers Road address yesterday.
At around 2 in the afternoon, the two women had a misunderstanding which escalated into a confrontation. Police say that Kelly pulled a knife and stabbed Leslie in the neck.
Leslie was rushed to the Belize Medical Associates, but we didn't find her there today.
Due to the nature of the offenses, no plea was taken from Kelly, and she was remanded into custody. She is to return to court on March 20.
