GSU Still Making Busts
posted (February 16, 2012)
Despite taking heat from some - the Prime Minister and his senior Minister Michael Finnegan - The Gang Suppression Unit has been keeping up the pressure on the city's crime hotspots.

And, tonight they're reporting another success.

Today, the unit searched an abandoned wooden house on Simon's alley, also known as Fireburn alley, in the gang affiliated Jump street area.

Hidden between the flooring of the house and its supporting beam, officers discovered one 9 millimetre pistol with an extended 9 millimetre magazine containing 22 rounds of ammunition, and an empty M-16 magazine. Also included in the find was a rusty 12 gauge shotgun barrel.

No one is said to reside at the address, but according to Police, the home of two notorious brothers, key figures in the Jump street gang, is located right next door. The items were labelled and deposited as found property.

And in related news from the GSU, Marvin Foreman who's been wanted on the strength of a Warrant for Apprehension, regarding the discovery of 276 grams of cannabis and eight .22 rounds of ammunition on Louise Bevans Street last week, was arrested this morning and charged jointly with Jason Reynolds. Foreman was taken before court this morning and remanded to prison.
