According to Karen Vernon of the Institute of Creative Arts, the fest gives artists of all types an opportunity to showcase their talent and artwork while providing meaningful entertainment for the whole family.

"Booths will be lined from Belize Bank all the way down just before Prince Street. we will have a stage which will be our first stage where entertainment will be from 2 until 7p.m on that stage. Another stage will be in the central park area and entertainment there will start from 7 and will go on until 10. We have all different sorts of artist in the booths: painters, sculptors, people doing jewelry, tattoo artists, make-up artists. People will be down there with that type of stuff, so you will be able to walk down Albert Street and see all the different stuff that the artists have to offer. There will also be, what we call street entertainment, which will be the Jan Canoe dancers moving through the crowd. We have a group from Benque that will be doing a street art carpet where they're actually blocking a certain part of the street, and they do what they call - with sawdust and paint, and they actually create a piece of art work, that process takes about 3-4 hours, so you will be able to see that work in progress. We will have live art; people will be painting - putting canvas to paint out there. We will have Mr. Carl, and he will be putting his saw to piece of wood so you will see the process that actual piece of art work goes through to completion."

"Of course, We will have The Bruk Down Band, Mr. Peters coming out, we have The Remaining, We have Ascentium band, vocalist coming out as well, The Belize Dance Company, The New Generation Dancers, entertainment all day from 2-10p.m. This is a family affair, so we'll have the food court and that section will be ready with food for sale from mid-day, although the festival won't start until 2. And a special for the kids, we have a kids zone, we'll have life size characters, Ozzy the clown, storytelling, and we'll have a very special kite workshop happening. The Taiwanese embassy, for the past 6 weeks, has been sponsoring kite workshop in different districts, and we will do it out there as well. We'll have a tent set up with all the materials, and children will be able to go into the tent, learn to make a kite and walk away with a kite, so we can keep the kite tradition alive."

The official opening ceremony starts at 2:00 p.m. and the festival goes right up to 10:00 p.m. Entrance is free and food, drinks, and art will be on sale.
