Another Accused Killer Gets Off
posted (March 27, 2012)
24 year-old Michael Forman, who was charged with the October 2009 murder of 27 year-old Eddie "Mac" Neal, was acquitted in the courtroom of Justice Herbert Lord today.

Foreman's trial, which started last week Thursday, was prosecuted by Crown Counsel Kaysha Grant, who called 5 witnesses in the case.

However, none of the witnesses gave Grant any identification evidence that she could use against Foreman, and as when she closed her case, Foreman's attorney, Nigel Ebanks, made a no-case submission on his behalf.

Justice Lord then upheld that submission and directed the jury to find Foreman not guilty of murder and the alternative charge of manslaughter. He went right back into police custody because he is currently on remand for a firearms-related offense.

ON Sunday October 12, 2009, Neal was on the North Creek Road in the Collet area, when he was attacked by two men who first beat him with a metal pipe, shot him in the head, and robbed him of his valuables that he had on him.

Neal had run to a house for cover, but they denied him entry and he was beaten and killed right behind that house.
