Belize's Foreign Minister Wilfred Elrington is in Cartagena Colombia for the Sixth Summit of The Americas - which starts on Saturday.
Today he met with the Secretary General of the OAS, Jose Miguel Insulza.
They discussed the political climate in the region and the key issues that will emerge at the Summit of the Americas.
One issue topping the agenda is violence fueled by the illegal drug trade.
The meeting took place in the Convention Center, which will be the main headquarters of the Sixth Summit of the Americas.
33 North American, Latin American and Caribbean leaders will participate in the Summit.
