posted (April 20, 2012)
Last night we told you about the body of a man that was found on the Boom-Hattieville Road. He had two large cut wounds to the back of his head.

Tonight, his identity is known. It turns out that before his death the man had recently come into some good fortune by winning the Mega Bingo jackpot - and, some feel that may have factored into his death.

Monica Bodden went to Hattieville today looking for answers:..

Monica Bodden reporting
The body of Glenford Jemmott was found about 1 mile from the Hattieville prison - in these bushes just off the road.

It was discovered around 11 yesterday morning by a passerby who noticed vultures circling the area.

Jemmott's body was decomposed - and may have been lying there for at least 3 days.

He was lying face up and had 2 large chop wounds to the back of his head. Also found in the area were two red pillows, two blankets and a purple shirt.

Jemmott was the manager of Bombay's Cool Spot in Hattieville, and also resided in the village. The news of his murder sent shockwaves throughout the small community as everyone is still left to wonder what happened to their friend.

James Armstrong resides upstairs of Bombay's Cool Spot. He considered Jemmott a close friend of his since they were practically neighbors half the time.

The last time he recalled seeing his friend was on Sunday night - where he said everything seemed pretty normal and Jemmott didn't seemed worried about anything nor did he mentioned he was under any threat.

James Armstrong - Friend
"The last time I saw him on Sunday night he had some money with him. I think he went to buy some drinks for his bar. I don't know his nightly sales. I don't really know what happened to him."

"As I had told you I went out around 10pm to watch a basketball game and that was the last time I saw him."

"You didn't hear anything or....."

"Let's trace back to Sunday night then. This place was in full swing; you had a dance going on and stuff. You walked out and you left him here?"

James Armstrong - Friend
"Yes I went upstairs and I left him at the bar. We drank about 2 stouts and that was the last time I saw him."

This may have been a case of robbery since we were told that Jemmott was robbed of his wallet.

This morning police was seen on his premises - searching for clues. According to some residence of the village, Jemmott was last seen on Monday.

Glenford Jemmott had no children and lived with a room-mate. He was also one of the lucky winners of the mega bingo game. In July of last year, he won the 97 thousand dollar jackpot.

Robert Robinson - Friend
"He won the Mega Bingo, and from that day I start to call him Mega Bingo. After he won the Mega Bingo he had some new friends around him."

Marion Ali, LOVE NEWS
"What kind of people?"

Robert Robinson - Friend
"I don't know because he started to play rich guy and he didn't remember the locals again."

James Armstrong - Friend
"He didn't mention anything like that to me. He is a cool fellow; he is not usually in problems with anybody. Everybody from the village knows him. He is a friendly person. He is free-handed, so I don't see why anybody would want to chance the man."

Robert Robinson - Friend
"Everybody knows Jemmott as an ok guy who doesn't give problems to anyone. I don't know what the circumstances were, but too bad for him that he ended up like that."

Notably, a post mortem that was conducted on the body at the scene found the cause of death to be undetermined. Due to the advanced state of decomposition, the two apparent chop wounds in the back of his head were inconclusive.
