23 year-old Jermaine Stevens and his 29 year-old brother, Austin are at prison tonight after they were arraigned to Magistrate's Court today in connection with the alleged rape of a Belize City woman.
The victim reported to police that on March 20, 2012, at about 12:30 p.m., she went to the Stevens' Jane Usher Boulevard home to look for a friend.
According to the woman, while she was there, she went to use the bathroom, and when she came out, she was confronted by both brothers.
Jermaine and Austin Stevens allegedly grabbed her, and placed her on a bed where Jermaine Stevens allegedly raped her while Austin Stevens watched.
Jermaine Stevens was charged with rape, while his brother Austin was charged with abetment to commit rape.
In court today, the prosecutor made several objections to bail, and Chief Magistrate Smith remanded them to prison until July 25.
