We found out more today:

Monica Bodden Reporting

23 year old Andrew Usher and his brother 19 year old Jordan Usher was shot just a block away from their home.

The shooting happened here - in front of this Chinese store on Jane Usher Boulevard - around 5:30 yesterday evening.

Both brothers were on a scooter heading to the store - when a man dressed in full black walked from the direction of the store and pointed a chrome handgun towards the brothers and then opened fire.

Jordan Usher managed to run into the nearby bushes and that was when the gunman approached Andrew, stood on top of him and began shooting him.

Andrew received 8 shots while his brother Jordan received one shot to his right leg.

Andrew Usher was rushed to the KHMH but died shortly after.

Voice of: Stepmother
"Well yesterday evening, we went out for a drive, and when we came back home, everybody were together, and everybody was happy. They were riding on a scooter up and down the street. Andrew jumped on the scooter and said that he was going to the Chinese shop, when he went to the shop, about 5 or 10 minutes afterwards, we heard the gunshots. So we came into the yard, and locked the gate. A guy came by and said that it was my stepson who just went to the shop. I didn't believe it, but I knew that only they left from around here. So, we jumped into the vehicle and went around the lane and discovered that the brother already took him to the hospital. When we went to the hospital, Andrew was already dead; the next brother - they were working on him."

Andrew Usher was shot twice to the center of his chest, twice under his right armpit, once to the right side of his chest, once to the left hand, once to the left upper ribcage and once to the right arm.

Voice of: Stepfather
"He got about 9 gunshots."

Reporter
"So, whoever killed him wanted him dead."

Voice of: Stepfather
"Well it looked like that for me."

Monica Bodden
"Do you know where he got shot?"

Voice of: Stepmother
"In his chest, but like I said, it happened so fast I didn't believe because Andrew is not that kind of person; he doesn't bother anyone. Andrew is a seaman. He dedicates himself to his girlfriend and his child."

Reporter
"How old was the child?"

Voice of: Stepmother
"The child is about 9 months or so. His brother was shot in his lower body, but he is alright. He is already out of the KHMH."

Andrew Usher's stepmother told us -his brother Jordan didn't manage to see the gunman because everything happened quickly …

Voice of: Stepmother
"He couldn't identify the person because when he got shot, he just ran for his life."

Reporter
"Did he say if the person came on a bike or in a car?"

Voice of: Stepmother
"He doesn't know how the person came; the thing happened so fast that they don't know who it was. They didn't see his face."

Reporter
"Did he say if the person looked like he was waiting for them?"

Voice of: Stepmother
"Well, it looked so, the way he described it."

And according to his family, Andrew and his brother Jordan are not troublemakers and had no problem with anyone as far as they knew.

Voice of: Stepmother
"Like I said, they are seamen. Everybody who knew him, it will be really surprising to them."

Reporter
"When last were they at sea?"

Voice of: Stepmother
"It's been a long time; they haven't got to sea in a long time. We were just socializing at the back here together. We were so happy. It was not even 2 or 3 minutes that he jumped on his scooter and said that he was going to the shop. 5 or 10 minutes later, we heard all the shots."

Reporter
"So you all have no idea who it could have been?"

Voice of: Stepmother
"We don't know. Everyone who knows him would say that as you see him, he has a big smile. He is a loving and happy person."

Police do have one suspect- and say the murder may be drug related.
