GSU Gets Two Guns

Tonight, 27 year-old Kenroy Tyrone Gillett, is detained and awaiting an arraignment tonight after the Gang Suppression Unit busted him with a firearm.

According to the GSU, this morning, they conducted a 4-hour long search at #3413 Central American Boulevard. Gillett and a 20 year-old woman were present at the time of the search.

Inside the attic bedroom of the house, police found a 9 mm pistol, which was loaded with 6 live rounds of ammunition. They also found 2 grams of cannabis in the pocket of a pair of pants.

According the officers, Gillett allegedly admitted that he was the owner of the gun. As a result, he was arrested and charged with keeping an unlicensed firearm, keeping unlicensed ammunition, and possession of a controlled drug.

And in an update to our story on the midday murder, viewers may have noted that GSU officers also responded. They report that the firearm which the responding officers recovered is a black Taurus 9 mm pistol, which contained a live round of ammunition in its chamber, and 2 other rounds in the magazine.

We showed you the mother who said that her son was only a bystander in the area, and that he wasn't involved in the murder. Well, the GSU believes he is, and they also note that he is a reputed member of the Ghost Town Gang along with the other suspect.
