McAfee's Security Guard Arreste, Remanded
posted (November 13, 2012)
Tonight there are a number of major new developments in the Gregory Faull murder case.

First of all, McAfee's personal security William Milligan has been charged along with his wife for two counts of possession of an unlicensed firearm and one count of possession of unlicensed ammunition. Police found them with a single action 12 gauge shotgun and a pump action shotgun along with 27 rounds of ammunition. They were arraigned and remanded to prison today. Two more persons are detained - and they are also affiliated with McAfee.

Second, there is a US Forensic team in country. They arrived in the country today, examined Faull's body at the morgue - and are processing the crime scene on Northern Ambergris Caye at this hour.

Third, the man named as the prime suspect, John McAffee remains in hiding tonight - at parts unknown. He gave an interview via telephone from his place of hiding to WIRED Magazine in the US today.

He discusses the death of four of his dogs - which plays a prominent part in the police investigation. Those dogs named Mellow, Lucky, Dipsy, and Guerrero were reportedly poisoned on Friday night and Faull was killed between Saturday and Sunday.

Shortly before his death, Faull - who lives down the beach from McAfee - had made a written complaint about the dogs to the Town Council.

So when he was interviewed today by Joshua Davis of WIRED Magazine, McAfee was asked about the death of the dogs and if he thought Greg Faull was somehow involved:

Joshua Davis, Wired Magazine
"He didn't like your dogs; your dogs were poison on Friday night. It's not possible that you found out that he poisoned them and took revenge."

Voice of: John McAfee, interviewed by Joshua Davis - Wired Magazine
"Again, we've talk about this before - the idea that my neighbors may have done it didn't occur to me. The first one was the doctor next door because she lives closest to me. Greg lives way down the beach and I was even surprise that we could even hear my dogs. Both Greg and the doctor had dogs, loved dogs. A dog owner/lover is not going to poison anybody's dogs under any circumstances - they may be poisoned me but not my dogs."

Joshua Davis, Wired Magazine
"As to your speculations as to what might have happened to him?"

Voice of: John McAfee
"I do not have a clue. The only information I have about him is what you have told me and what Pricilla had told me. I had no idea that he was shot execution style. I heard some things were missing. It was you the one that told me that it was a 9mm shell."

Joshua Davis, Wired Magazine
"Yup."

Voice of: John McAfee
"That's all I know, I had no speculation other than the first thing I thought about was: oh my God, he is a white man, I am a white man, the government finally decide to off me - they got the wrong white man since we live almost next door."

Joshua Davis, Wired Magazine
"What's the end game at this point?"

Voice of: John McAfee
"I don't have a clue sir. I am unable to move, that's clear. All the police and the BDF have my photo - it's a small country. I am a white man with unique features. If I leave this house I would be identified instantly. For the foreseeable future this is my home. Right now sir I am hold up in a place, the mattress here has lice. I have never experience that before. The end game is obviously, given enough time they will track me down - I have to eat, I have to have supplies, I am using a telephone, they will eventually find out which phone and triangulate it. It's just a matter of time."

Joshua Davis, Wired Magazine
"It's inevitable that they will get you. Why not get a lawyer and turn yourself in?"

Voice of: John McAfee
"(laughing) ok, the last time a person turn themself in was shot in police custody. He name was Arthur Young, he had his hands tied behind his back and they shot him."

The entire McAfee interview is 23 minutes and in it he makes some farcical claims. He says - among many other inaccuracies - that in Belize, a suspect can be held for 30 days and then tried by a judge chosen by the Prime Minister.

Police have reportedly searched a number of McAfee's properties - and the investigation continues.
