Today, Belize police told us that they have even exhumed his dogs to gather investigative information:..

"He is still at large and he is still wanted for questioning and once again we appeal to the general public and his friends to come forward and encourage him to come in so that we could put this case to rest or answer some questions regarding the murder of Mr. Faull."

Mcafee's dogs - two of them seen here in this picture from WIRED Magazine are still at the center of the investigation.

Police exhumed his dogs - which were buried - after he supposedly shot them because - he claims - they had been poisoned:

"The dogs were exhumed and the slugs were taken out in deed and basically it's just to match the slug that was found in Mr. Faull to ascertain. We have not gotten back that information."

And while police wait for results in that - McAfee has opened a blog where this island resident who is often a stranger to the truth - claims he watched in blackface disguise as police searched his house.

He says:

I darkened the skin of my face, neck and hands carefully with shoe polish and put on an LA Saints baseball cap with the brim facing backwards. I stuffed my cheeks with chewed bubble gum stuck to the outside of my upper and lower molars - making my face appear much fatter. I darkened and browned my front teeth. I stuffed a shaved…tampon deep into my right nostril and died the tip dark brown."

He also has blogged that he is hiding at his compound which police deny:

"We are not on a nationwide manhunt. Of course we have informed all of the sub units throughout the country - to be on look out of him and if be seen he will be detained for questioning. Coming back to what you mention about him being on his compound - as you rightly mentioned earlier he has actually said allegedly reportedly said a lot of things - we are not really sure how to take them but police actually visited him compounds and just to find a whole media circus waiting. I am not really sure what his motive is but we went there, we visited, we check as soon as we get the tips but its only so much that we can do at this time when it comes to him reporting where he is, we are not sure what to take as truth or what to take as fictitious."

So McAfee seen here living it up earlier this month in a photo shoot for wired magazine remains at large and a person of interest but ever waning credibility tonight.
