But with so many years of hard times - we wondered today "how di Christmas di cohn" this year. Our associate, Giovanni Brackett, hit streets to sample public opinion about what it's been like.

Interviewee
"Well the Christmas is coming fair enough. I see a lot of Belizeans on the sidewalk, so it has to be a Merry Christmas for Belizeans this year."

Giovannie Brackett
"How will you spend the Christmas tomorrow?"

Interviewee
"Well hopefully, I spend it with my family, and have things to eat. That's what Christmas isall about."

Giovannie Brackett
"How is the Christmas coming for you?"

Interviewee
"It's going good; I can't complain. I am doing a little bit of work; I'm trying to give the people a little bit of music."

Giovannie Brackett
"How will you spend the Christmas tomorrow?"

Interviewee
"Tomorrow, I have to say family; I'm a family man. So, I have to keep it with family and friends."

Giovannie Brackett
"Is there any last-minute thing that you plan to do this afternoon?"

Interviewee
"Shopping, I haven't done any shopping as yet, but I will be sure to do a bit today."

Interviewee
"Well, the Christmas isn't going to well because finances aren't there, but other than that, I will try to make it with my family, try to enjoy that day. That love will be there with everybody, with all the food, and once that goes well, it will be all good."

Interviewee
"Surprisingly well."

Giovannie Brackett
"How will you spend it tomorrow?"

Interviewee
"Tomorrow, I will get up and make a nice Christmas dinner, and just relax with my family."

Interviewee
"I'll be doing it well with my family, nothing major."

Giovannie Brackett
"Today, are you trying to get some last-minute shopping done?"

Interviewee
"We're trying to get that done right now, so I'll catch up with you after and tell you have things are going."

Interviewee
"I'm just relaxing. I'll be right at the house drinking, relaxing, and hanging out with the family. Happy Holidays to all my Belizeans."

Interviewee
"Good."

Giovannie Brackett
"You will be spending it with family?"

Interviewee
"Yes, and I will be playing drums and keyboard."

Giovannie Brackett
"And do you have any gifts which you expect your father do buy?"

Interviewee
"Yes."

Interviewee
"I'll just be spending Christmas the best way possible with my family. That's the most important thing in my life."

Giovannie Brackett
"Tell me how the Christmas is going."

Interviewee
"I am not really celebrating Christmas this year."

Giovannie Brackett
"Any particular reason why?"

Interviewee
"No, no particular reason, I just..."

Giovannie Brackett
"So tomorrow, how will you be spending it?"

Interviewee
"I'm going to families to eat food, and then go back home to my house to catch up on some reading and writing."

Interviewee
"Everything is going smoothly accordingly. I am just waiting until this last minute 'drop' come in, and after tat, it's just to enjoy the rest of the day."

Giovannie Brackett
"How will you spend it tomorrow?"

Interviewee
"Tomorrow, I think that I will be resting for about half of the day. Later on, I'll get up and try to battle it out with the kids."

Interviewee
"Actually, it's pretty good. You feel the Christmas spirit actually when you come out here on Albert Street, see the people going into the stores, getting their house decorations. I think that one of the most important things for me this Christmas is to actually see the children smiling when they get their presents, from whoever it is. Maybe it's their relatives from abroad, or their parents come out and buy them on Albert Street, or Santa Claus might put it under the tree for them."
