posted (January 8, 2013)
And coming up we'll let you hear what the leader of the Opposition had to say about the killings, but first, some other news. Last night, we told you about the 3 hotdog vendors who were robbed on Sunday night by 2 men and 2 women. Well tonight, they are all at prison for it after they were taken to court.

As we reported, one of the vendors told police that at around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, they were approached by 2 dark-skinned men and women who ordered food from them. While she was preparing it, one the men pulled out a firearm, and robbed her of $675 in cash. The other moved to another of the vendors, and robbed her of $200, and a 17 year-old vendor was robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. They made their escape, but quick police led to the detention of 20 year-old Andrew Talbert, who was allegedly caught with a firearm. Police charged him jointly along with 18-year-old Desiree Waight, 21-year-old Theresa Elijio, and a 14 year-old male minor with the charge of robbery.

They were arraigned today before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith where they all pleaded not guilty to the offence. Because of the nature of the offence, they were all remanded until their next court date, which is set for February 19, 2013.
