Today was the first day of their tour, and we stopped in at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts for at their Seminar this morning. Here's what a few of the participants told us about their experience with the exercises they were encouraged to take part in.

"Don't think that you are small. Never think that your life is done or that it's this little, know that you are beautiful and remarkable and amazing and that anything you dream you can do. We always talked about being something, like what you are going to be, we already are, we are amazing creatures on this planet and we just need to know it and put one foot in front of the other and before we know it we have a whole pathway of of stuff that we have accomplished. The other thing that I would like to say is the word "try" - take that out of your vocabulary - it's either do it or you don't right."

"I got nervous and I thought I was going to drop but I went through and I think that I am braver now."

"I felt relief and happy because I already pass the challenge."

"At first I was nervous. When I was in the middle of the glass I felt like I Waa going to get cut but at the end I got like a sense of relief. It help to make you feel that you will not have that much fear in your life again because if you went through that obstacle already and that was kind of hard knowing that you might get cut and going through it - it make you feel like you can get through any obstacle in life."

"I knew that something crazy I had to do because I had to sign a contract and I juts sign it and then like if I die - it's just it."

"So you made up your mind after decided that whatever it is that you are going to go through?"

"Yes. When they put the iron on my throat I was like 'Oh God I hope this thing doesn't go through and through my throat or something' and I was just nervous because I didn't expect it was something crazy as that. But I am happy because I made it through."

The seminars will move to Corozal and Orange Walk tomorrow, and by Friday, Oliva and Korth are expected to reach out to approximately 6,000 Belizean youths.
