COLA Reloads For ICJ Campaign
posted (February 4, 2013)
COLA has been much in the news and on the talk show circuit recently. And on Saturday they held their annual General; Meeting at the Bishop Sylvester Memorial Hall in Belize City. There was no challenge to president Geovannie Bracket, but he did get a new Vice President, Gilroy Usher. He said with the ICJ vote coming, COLA will re-double its efforts:..

Gilroy Usher, elected Vice President - COLA
"We plan to continue to build COLA's image and continue to try to work our hardest to ensure that COLA is ready as the leading advocacy group in this country."

Geovanni Brackett, Re-Elected President - COLA
"What we commit here to our membership at this AGM is that we will continue to expand on that campaign. As you saw earlier in the meeting we actually have t-shirts now that are advertising no to the ICJ. COLA is moving forward and we have difficulties because we are not heavily sponsored; we are not sponsored at all from no big funding agency but COLA does have members who are committed and those few courageous members are the reason why COLA is still alive."

Former Vice-president Karim Mawema, who has relocated to Los Angeles, will open COLA's California chapter - and there will also be a Florida Chapter.
