A post mortem has confirmed that the American woman found dead on San Pedro yesterday died of natural causes. 33 year old Kristy Lynn Sy, a resident of Casper, Wyoming in the USA was found dead yesterday morning in front of Royal Palm Villas. She had gone for her morning run a few hours earlier - and that was the last time she was seen. She was found fully clothed and police said there were no signs of violence to her body.
Police today report that they had quote "interviewed two of her Belizean friends that had interacted with her for almost a month who indicated to us that she suffered from seizures and was on medications for such seizures."
Sy had been in Belize for a month and was to have returned yesterday. A newspaper in Wyoming notes that her husband filed for divorce on February 8th.
