Belize's Cabinet has still not decided on the proposal by the Guatemalan government to postpone the referendum originally scheduled for October 6, 2013. That's because Minister of Foreign Affairs Wilfred Elrington has not yet returned from Washington DC with the formal proposal for Cabinet to consider. But, in somewhat related news, the a senior official from the British Ministry of Defence will be visiting Belize later this week.
He is Dr Andrew Murrisson, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for International Security Strategy at the Defence Ministry. But don't expect a security blanket, Murrisson will be presenting vehicles to BATSUB and visit the Belize Defence Force.
