Lady Party Crashers To Court

Last night we told you about a pair of female party crashers whose appearance at a Saturday night party turned into a serious knife fight. Well so far, four females, two sisters and two friends were taken to court on criminal charges.

18 year old Saysha Moody, 18, at whose home the party was held was the first to be arraigned yesterday on two charges of common assault and wounding upon Kendra Smith.

She pleaded not guilty to both charges and she was offered bail of $1,000 dollars.






Today, 19 year old Lyvette Brown, and 21-year-old Kendra Smith appeared before Magistrate Dale Cayetano. They were read three criminal charges: one count each of wounding, one count each of grievous harm and one count each of use of deadly means of harm with a deadly instrument, namely a knife, upon sisters, Saysha and Sharima Moody.

The two pleaded not guilty to the charge and were offered bail of $3,000 each.

Smith and Brown were to have been charged from yesterday but had to be taken back to the Queen Street Police Station because they were acting unruly in the holding cell.

Also charged today was a 16-year-old minor for wounding upon Kendra Smith. She appeared this morning in the Belize City Family Court where she pleaded not guilty.

The minor claims that Smith and Brown crashed the party and attacked them. The minor who had to be taken to the hospital for further treatments for her stab wounds to her chest area yesterday.
