Alleged Cop Killer Acquitted Of Ammo Charge
posted (September 13, 2013)
Viewers may remember Delford Slusher, he was the man accused of shooting Corporal Victor Lima to death last year, when the officer responded to try to stop him while he was in the middle of a home invasion. Well, the ammunition charge which the police department used to hold him while they investigated to bring murder charges has been dismissed.

During the trial before Magistrate Adolph Lucas, the arresting officer told the court that when he visited Slusher's residence in Bainsville, he found the two rounds of ammunition inside a suitcase that sat in the living room. The officer told the court that when he showed Slusher the two rounds, Slusher accused them of planting the bullets there, an accusation that the officer denied.

But when Slusher's witness testified in his defence, she told the court that she heard the dogs barking and when she looked through her window, she saw the police officers in the yard. She said that she saw when two officers brought Slusher downstairs, leaving other officers upstairs inside his house, and when they took him back upstairs, she heard when Slusher told them that the ammunition was not his.

After hearing the facts of the case, Magistrate Adolph Lucas determined that Slusher was telling the truth when said he had no knowledge of the ammunition that were found at his residence.

So, Slusher was acquitted of this charge, but he is still at prison awaiting trial for the murder of Cpl. Lima.
