Juniour Heredia Denies Any Visa Quota system
posted (October 28, 2013)
And form Chang, back to Castro. Today, we got an opportunity to speak with his cabinet colleague, Manuel Heredia Jr.

As we've told you, 7News has received multiple credible reports of a visa quota system among ministers, but all those who we've spoken to, have denied that it exists - with only their boss, the Prime Minister letting on that there is hustling afoot in the Department.

Heredia Jr. joined those ministers who denied that it exists when we asked him about it, and he told us that the whistle-blower who came out against Castro obviously has a malicious agenda:

Geovanni Brackett, reporter
"Were you aware of any visa quota?"

Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr., Minister of Tourism
"To be very honest I commute every day between San Pedro, if anything about that at this point I cannot comment on that. I know very little. Probably if anything is there I might know tomorrow at Cabinet, but at this point it is very difficult for me to comment."

Geovanni Brackett, reporter
"As far as a Cabinet member, were you aware of any collective visa quota system that was implemented in Cabinet?"

Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr., Minister of Tourism
"Definitely not. That is totally out of order and erroneous. That is not so."

Geovanni Brackett, reporter
"As Minister and colleague to Minister Edmund Castro, what do you make of the allegations put forward to him by this "visa" facilitator person?"

Hon. Manuel Heredia Jr., Minister of Tourism
"On that one I must say that at this point I can clearly see that there is an agenda - that any one of us have to be very careful. They are watching us very carefully - that is what I see and then we have the opposition, we have other people that are looking forward to see this government down. Personally I would say we need to be very careful. Anybody would lend themselves to come up forward and then even if it is not so will come up with allegations of this nature. To put it a little better, everybody knows that we have a Prime Minister that doesn't play with anybody."
