posted (October 30, 2013)

So, while police are working on solving that murder, they believe that they've cracked the case of 61 year-old George Blanco, the truck driver who was killed on last week Friday when robbers targeted his meat wholesale delivery truck. Tonight, 21 year-old Alton Bailey, 33 year-old Roger Hernandez, 25 Roque Middle Middleton, 33 year-old Frank Eligio are at prison after they were charged in Magistrate's Court this evening.

As we reported, on Friday afternoon, the Yo Creek resident George Blanco was with his boss, Abraham Penner, and they were driving through Sandhill when a gunman opened fire on the truck as it passed over the last speed bump in the village near the old Northern Road. Blanco was hit under the left armpit, and he died at the wheel. This caused the vehicle to veer off the road, and when it stopped on the shoulder, 3 men robbed Penner of $9,600 in cash and fled.

Well, police investigated, and they today, they charged Bailey, Hernandez, and Middleton with murder and robbery. Eligio was separately charged with drug trafficking, handling stolen goods and conspiracy to commit robbery.

They were arraigned before the Chief Magistrate, Anne Marie Smith, who remanded them to prison until December 16, their next court date.
