There was a fatality on the northern highway on Tuesday night. It happened at around 6:50 where 47 year old Elmer Hall of Santa Elena Road in Corozal was knocked off his bike by a Mexican Dodge Ram Pick-up. Under the pick-up was a green female bicycle extensively damaged. 47 year old Jose Luis Kelly, a Belizean Contractor of Paraiso Village was driving the pickup from Corozal Town to the Belize Northern Border and between miles 85 and 86, he says Hall swerved into the road and he ran him over. Hall's injuries were fatal and he was pronounced dead at 8:15pm. Kelly was detained pending investigation.
