OW’s Taco Supremacy Reinforced
posted (November 22, 2013)
And Sunday is local tacos day. No, not really, but that's what Orange Walk would want as they host their third annual tacos festival. We found out more from the organizers.

Dillon Jones - Universal Radio
"We do have the best tacos in the country, almost in the region - Orange Walk has it and we just need to keep it that way. We want people to realize that the tacos business is a serious industry. If you check it out on a daily basis there is roughly about 35 tacos stands around Orange Walk operating daily and if you put it on pen and paper, you would see the amount of chicken they are using, the people employed, amount of tortillas, vegetable, pepper sauce, even the phone. To me it is a serious industry and it is just growing and growing."

Yvette Torres - Coordinator - Banquitas House Of Culture
"First of all we are going to have the different tacos vendors there, which are going to be chicken, beef and pibil. Also we are going have the Super Furia Band, Captain Roby and we're going to be having belly dancing, cultural dances and apart from that we're going to be having children games such as sack race, lime and spoon, the greasy poll and the canoe race."

The day starts at 9:00 am and finishes AT ABOUT EIGHT IN THE NIGHT. It will be held at the Banquitas House of Culture.
