Shari Muschamp Admitted To Her Workplace
posted (November 25, 2013)
On Friday we showed you the pitiful plight of Shari Muschamp. She was working at the IBC Registry - but she had a difficult pregnancy, and right about the time when Government took over the registry from the Ashcroft Alliance - she left on an extended maternity leave. In the interim, government re-hired all the employees as public officers, but she got left out of the mix: she was never fired, but she was also never re-hired. When she got attorney Audrey Matura Shepherd to query her status, Government's legal advisor Gian Ghandi wrote to Matura-Shepherd informing her that Muschamp had been deemed medically unfit. Still, she wasn't back to work on Friday at the end of her maternity leave, and was shown out the door. But it seems her distraught plea outside the IBC Office softened some hearts, because when she went back to work today, she was allowed in and taken into a meeting - slash - negotiation with the Registrar of IBC's Santiago Gonzalez.

Today, Matura-Sehepherd updated the media on Shari's situation:

Audrey Matura-Shepherd, attorney
"She was not denied entry into the building. She had a meeting with the acting boss Mr. Santiago Gonzalez at which they discussed her employment. She was told certain things verbally but my advice to her is that it had to be in writing. I subsequently wrote a letter to Mr. Gonzalez, copied it to Mr. Ghandi to make sure that they give us in writing what the proposal is. Up to now, I've been calling almost every hour to check - there has been no official response as to on what terms she has been retained there; if it's a new hiring, a rehiring or so. For now at least we know that she is back at work. How much salary she will get and all of that has not been given to us in writing. Certain things were said to her but we will not reveal it because i would say at this point that we are in negotiations to ensure that Shari is treated fairly. If not satisfied with what the outcome should be then clearly we know that we have to take other recourse."

"The good news, I must thank you all because had the media not expose it I don't think we would have gotten such quick response."

We'll have an update tomorrow on what came out of the meeting and what's the final status on her employment.
