Woman Indicted For Murder of Her Baby’s Father

26 year-old Calaney Flowers, the woman who is accused of purposefully running over her baby's father 29 year-old Lyndon Morrison, and killing him, will stand trial for it in the Supreme Court.

Her preliminary inquiry was held today before Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith, where the prosecution tendered all the evidence that they intend to use against her in the trial, which included more than 20 witness statements. After reading the statements from 26 year-old Sochyl Sosa, Morrison's girlfriend who was with him and got injured in that accident, as well as the one from Morrison's mother, Chief Magistrate Smith found that the accused must stand trial in the Supreme Court. Her case was committed for trial for the April 2014 session.

As we told you, Flowers is being accused of purposefully using her vehicle to knock down Morrison and Sosa who were riding Morrison's motorcycle on Freetown Road, in front of the Central Assembly Church on August 28, 2012. The incident allegedly happened after Flowers followed the couple onto Freetown Road.
