There was an armed robbery in broad daylight in Belize City today. A vegetable stall across from #1 Supermarket on Central American Boulevard was robbed at knifepoint by two young men. "They came to rob us. They grab us; my sister and I and they choke us. They beat up my sister and stand on her baby and they threw him down. Afterwards they grab my child as if he was nothing and they throw his at me. I ask them to please give me my baby and they can have the money."

"They came in like they were buying and when I turned around to get something, they grab me on my neck and they cove my mouth. I try to call my sister because she was inside. My sister was inside cooking. She wanted to throw the hot pot on the man, but when she sees that he got me hold on my neck she just left him and I told them to take the money and leave us alone."
Police were on the scene when we got there, but have no suspects.
