For the past, 2 weeks, well-known tour guide Yhony Rosado has been battling a new allegation brought against him by his competitor, Vitalino Reyes Sr. According to Reyes, Rosado, assaulted him on Boxing Day, and so, he now he's facing a disorderly conduct charge in the Magistrate's Court.
Well, as we've reported, Rosado claims that the BTB is trying to use this opportunity to move against him and get his tour guide license revoked on what he calls a flimsy charge. As we told you, the Licensing committee is reviewing this allegation, and Rosado's livelihood could be placed on the line if they recommend that it be revoked.
Well, FECTAB is take the stance that, if you touch one, you touch all, and today they' held a fiery 1 hour press conference. Rosado and his attorney outlined the long history of bad blood that he's had with Vitalino Reyes, who tried to get him convicted in court with false statements under oath.

"The tribulations with Yhony continue with these very same individual. That case is long gone and Yhony hasn't even taken an action and I had advised him "take an action for malicious prosecution Yhony." Vitalino Reyes signed a statement in which he said that he was not at home on August twenty-fourth, he received a call from I believe his daughter-in-law saying that Yhony pulled a gun on Vitalino's son. Well it appeared that the police department was not satisfied with that statement so 7 days later Vitalino Reyes went back to the police station and he signed a new statement on the August 31, 2012 in which he now puts himself on the scene. So he goes from 7 days earlier saying that, "I received a call from my daughter-in-law that Yhony pulled a gun." the police is saying that isn't enough to convict Yhony, you have to say that you were there. So now Vitalino, along with the police, in my mind it is clear collusion with the police, went to the police station 7 days later and said, "You know what, I was there. I saw Yhony pull the gun" - A blatant and outright lie against his competitor."
"Now, the first statement ladies and gentlemen, the one dated 24th of August which was supposedly the day the incident took place - this was never disclosed to Yhony Rosado, he never received this. It is signed actually and thats the beauty about it because now Vitalino couldn't get away from it; a statement that he said he wasn't there followed a week later by a statement that he puts himself on the scene and the police like I said did not disclose this one where he admits he was not there."
"So when Mr. Vitalino took the witness stand not knowing what we had in our possession - we then put it to him and said isn't this your signature Mr. Vitalino, he had been cornered, he had nowhere to go; he was in a witness box faced with his very signature and he had to admit under oath for a third time now that he had lied."

"My name have been tainted, painted very dark, well I have my attorney with me and I have COLA beside me to let them explain to you why my name in is the media as a gun man, as a boxing man and as a very rude business man and so my tour operator license is in question because I have not been a good citizen. If you ask the question a good citizen to whom? To the UDP? They have considered myself a PUP which I am not. I am cavetubing.com. I am not here to anti-UDP or to pro-PUP even though because my attorney is a well-known PUP. I am her to protect my business and our jobs."

"We and I speaking as his attorney will not stand for that. I am taking an action with Yhony's instructions because I think he has had enough, he is a businessman, he doesn't like to bother with court but I think he has seen the light. I think he sees the direction that this thing is going that they will stop at nothing until his license is revoked and I had advised him to not take these things likely. Too many things are happening too often and because he is so outspoken because he is fighting against CHUKKA and fighting against BTB, I am convince they will stop at nothing to bring him down."
