And those children he hopes to engage are those who live their lives in constant fear or influence of the gangs that operate in those territories.
It's something that Joseph "Stamp" Romero is hoping to bring to life at this Saturday's Street Art Festival.
He's had 2 productions of his innovative play called "Nowhere to Fly, Gangs and Boys", and in Saturday's production, he hopes to engage festival goers with a vivid tale of what these youths experience. He told us a bit about how it has been received so far:
