"I was up there at 8am when I got the phone call and my daughter Lourdes call me and said Anthony just passed away and then she told me that he had an accident on the motorcycle; the motorcycle ran into the back of a back hoe and he died on the spot. They came for me, my granddaughter Gina and another grand daughter Amy came and brought me to Belize City and then I found out what really happen that - he works for Bowen and Bowen, they have a car rental and there was two customers in a car that he was showing how to find the Western Highway, so they were riding behind him and when he got them on the highway and they were satisfied that they were on the right road - he went ahead to most turn around or go through Boom, I don't know what his intentions were, but he sped up the motorcycle and when the passengers pass the curve they saw him on the highway already dead. It was on a curve that he went. That is all we know about it."

"Have police told you guys that the back hoe was in the wrong?"

"Well if you are coming out to a main highway and you are driving a vehicle or a truck or a back hoe, you come out front way so you can see where you are going, but you don't back out a back hoe or a truck or a car back way onto a highway. It was around 8 - 8:30 in the morning. We are very lax in our traffic laws in Belize, we don't even have proper highway patrols, we don't enforce the laws. How many people have been killed driving into parked vehicle on the highway? I don't have any convictions yet."

Anthony Hunter was the father of 3 boys; he is also the third child that his father, Freddy Hunter has lost. Police say that they've served the driver of the tractor with a notice of intended prosecution. Today, we spoke with Francis Woods, the Director of Cisco Construction who told us that he is unable to comment at this time because the police's investigation is ongoing.
