A policeman was robbed and viciously stabbed this weekend. On Sunday morning at 1:40 am, Police Constable 1322, Abimael Romero was found on Asuncion Street with 18 stab wounds to the back, abdomen and right hand. He was rushed to the Northern Regional Hospital but told police he doesn't remember anything about how he was attacked or how his assailants looked. He told police he had been robbed of his personal possessions, including passport, clothing and cell phone.
Residents in the area say that he appeared to have been drinking when they found him bleeding from those stab wounds. He told them that he was looking for his mother-in-law's house.
