Stamp Helps Siarsha
posted (March 13, 2014)
And in another effort to try to help baby Siarsha and her family with the long road ahead, NICH's Joseph "Stamp" Romero is organizing a benefit concert for tomorrow night at the BTL Park where all proceeds will be donated to the family to help them with the medical bills.

Today, Romero told us why he wants you to come out and support the concert:

Joseph "Stamp" Romero
"At 7pm at the BTL Park. We believe that this has to be an effort coming from artist and the entire country to give a child a chance from Belize - a chance to receive some kind of normalcy in her life and so tomorrow it's really about fundraising for her and giving all the proceeds - nothing goes to me or any of the artists who are coming out - giving them the opportunity to pay their bills. They can know that NICH is behind them. We feel that this is our child, this is like anybody's child who knows what it feels like to have a child be this sick and so tomorrow it's really about helping pay for those bills."

"We want to invite people to come out. One of the things on my Facebook page I say come out as a family to support a family which is supposed to be one of our Belizean mantras and so tomorrow I want people to come out and have a great time at a beautiful park and be able to give back to this baby who is 3 years old like my daughter and I feel that it is important that we understand that like I said earlier, it could be anyone of our children."

"It's only $5 that we are charging at the gate and you get to see artist like Jenko, Nello Player, TR Shine, Sharon, The New Generation Dance Company, you get to see other artists like Positive Vibes - we have a great lineup tomorrow and so coming out and giving back, you are going to also be entertained."

The concert starts at 7 p.m., and ends at 11 p.m. The entry fee is $5.
