24 year-old Rashida Kira Sedacey, a former cashier for Travellers Limited, is in police custody tonight awaiting an arraignment hearing in the Magistrate's Court after she was accused of stealing over $80,000 from the liquor company.
She was taken to court this evening, and she should have been arraigned, but the Office section of the Magistrate's Court just couldn't type up and prepare the over 100+ counts of theft that she is about to face. Our sources from the court says that she's facing 116 counts, but other sources have also told us that it it's actually 130 counts.
Sedacey, a resident of Los Lagos, was terminated from the company in December after the management accused her of stealing money from them in an 8-month span from the beginning of January to August of last year.
She will now be arraigned tomorrow, and 7News will have more details on the case at that time. We understand that the biggest sum that she is accused of stealing from the company in one instance is $5,000. That's after she allegedly got bolder taking more and more money after she allegedly got away with her first theft, of $200 dollars and 13 cents on January 2, 2013.
