Price of Sub-Standard LPG Going Up
posted (March 20, 2014)
Last night we told you that government is trying to negotiate a deal where it can import LPG, or "butane" from Mexico. The idea is to stabilize the price, the quality and the supply.

But in the meantime it's business as usual for the central American importers who keep jacking up their prices even though their product is mostly propane - in a ration not approved for sales to homes and restaurants.

The new piece increase puts the LPG from Central America at 128 dollars per hundred pound cylinder - same as the price for higher grade butane imported from México.
