He may be going, but he's not gone yet. Henry Canton is still CEO of Citrus Products of Belize Limited, and while the new Board of Directors tries to negotiate an exit strategy for the long entrenched and embattled CEO, the news tonight is that Canton may be leaving the CEO's office, but not CPBL.
Banks Holdings will keep Canton as one of its two Directors on the Board, ensuring that he continues to wield influence at the highest level of corporate governance. For the Citrus Growers Association – which also sits on the board; that means he'll continue to be a stone in their shoe, or more likely a thorn in their side.
