38 year-old Edelmiro Oliva is at prison tonight after he was convicted of indecent assault in the Magistrate's Court.
His 8 year-old female victim testified that on July 18, 2013, her baby sitter went out, and Oliva took the opportunity when they were alone to touch her inappropriately. Oliva, who was represented by attorney Simeon Sampson, took the stand and denied the crime after reviewing all the evidence against him, Chief Magistrate Ann Marie Smith found him guilty and sentenced him to serve 2 years in prison.
